Sunstar Mouth-to-Body Health Institute
A global scientific platform bringing together research and expertise to advance mouth-to-body health and turn evidence into better prevention and care.
Oral Health Is A Gateway to Overall Body Health.
Periodontal disease ranges from common, milder conditions such as gingivitis to more severe periodontitis. Evidence increasingly shows important links between oral and systemic health, including well-established associations between periodontitis and conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Yet research, prevention and care still often sit in separate disciplines. Progress depends on bringing the evidence together and putting it into practice.
Progress matters when better evidence leads to better prevention, better care and healthier lives.
